Meet our Pastor
Pastor Amanda McCaffery has been serving St. Luke's since 2018. Originally from Hagerstown, Maryland, she received her Bachelor's Degree in Religion from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, and her Master's of Divinity from United Lutheran Seminary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. She's been married to her husband, Drew, since 2012 and he is also a Lutheran Pastor. She has lived in Altoona since 2015, but loves the small town of Roaring Spring and the surrounding cove. Before starting seminary, she worked at the Franklin County Housing Authority in Waynesboro as a Management Aide in Public Housing, which is where she felt her call to ministry. In her spare time she enjoys card and board games, hiking, biking, reading, gardening, and traveling.
Beverly - Secretary
Beverly has been serving as our church secretary since 2018. She lives with her husband, Richard, in New Enterprise and has 2 children and 4 grandchildren. She has a Collie dog named Skye, two cats named Colby and Gray, and a horse named Doc. She spends her spare time with her horse, watching her grandchildren, and volunteering at her church and at Mended Hearts Animal Rescue. She also enjoys camping at her family camp in Potter County.
